What I have found is that I can import documents from my scanner. It is a
Epson Perfection 4180 scanner. I click picture, then scan. Then I can click
can click select source or request. I have found that I have to use the
request option. The other will not work for me.

use Adobe photoshop CS2 and sometimes I will use the scanner to scan
directly into photoshop. I would like to do the same with open office, if I
could.

If you're still having trouble with the install, the incomplete or
corrupted issue is sometimes because your antivirus software is
complaining
