Is it possible to get a short rundown on how to net boot a IIgs? I've got
all sorts of Macs that I can use for a boot server, and I have three IIgs's
(two Rom1's and a Rom3). I just have no idea how to go about setting it up
(I'm not a IIgs user at all).
Thx,
Rob

I don't like the move to google groups as it makes one

some very good advisors, and he values their suggestions. I believe his
decision will be swift, sure, and reasonable.

The memory for the 4400, on the other hand, is extremely expensive. All of
the prices I've seen have been in the ballpark of $200 for 64MB. I gather
that this is due to some unusual voltage requirements.
I have recently found some great deals in ebay to get me to 160MB. Best
advice I can give...
Nobody called Kyle a heathen. If he has a beef
with that he might want to take it up with Mr.
Ishida himself at www.sinfest.net and while you're
there read some of his comic strips that IMHO
are quite funny. :)
I understand. Like I said, I enjoyed reading what you posted

Eric's Ultimate Solitaire!
Do a search on VersionTracker for freecell or card game and check out
the many, many, options. Dunno how many (if any) are 68K-compatible, but
anything capable of running VPC acceptably ought to be able to handle the
freecell games for Mac :)

Yes it damn well does (sorry). I have it set up internally, I don't
*like* having to use IP addresses all the time.
Depending on the size of your network, it may be feasible to create a
hosts file on each computer.

You should have no problem in your router is strictly 10BT.

Anyone know what this thing is? It's 8-bit ISA.
The Complete PC Inc. manufactured The Complete Communicator which
was a modem with a scanner port.

, to decrease the amount of memory used by applications,
but I doubt it would be worth the decrease in performance in this
situation. I'm not running any memory hungry desktop applications.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes, but I doubt that any speed is gained over the network.
Ram disk speeds things up when the transfer is RAM to RAM.
