Hey all,
I'm interested to hear what WSGers think is the best way to implement
alternating row colours in a table.
From what I can see there is no way to do this using CSS alone, all
the methods I've seen use either JavaScript or server side logic to
generate the row colours.
Is this a
Apart from specific classes on alternate rows, it is possible to style
alternate rows without adding markup to the structure using adjacent sibling
selectors. Be aware of IE's lack of support. Here is a sample from older
post on similar question:

Is this a limitation of the CSS model that you can't do this? Is there
a logical way this can be incorporated into CSS?

Then, people would never forget any colour tool - and we would not have to

Your home page is very attractive.
A bit of humble pie - I validated your home page using your referral button 'xhtml' and got 15 errors.
Your CSS shows one related error:

Ok, enough.
The aim of this list is not to criticise other members but to help and

Thanks, I did go to the link at W3C on ampersands. That is what triggered the query.
I am concerned that if someone uses the 'corrected' link to go to the Opera site, that the use of amp; will cause an error in the affiliate ID registration process... Or is this just foolishness
