Hi,
I have installed the RC3 release of XFree86 4.4, and I
have noticed a couple of issues. Firstly, the
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/config/
directory is missing. This made it impossible for me
to build libglut.so against this release candidate
without first restoring the config/ directory from an

Manually set to 75 dpi, real value is almost exactly 96 dpi. But this is
not the problem. If I replace '...-100-100-...' in the LFD with
'...-75-75-...'

You did not load the kernelmodule.
As root try modprobe nvidia. If it works tell the System to load the module
on startup by putting nvidia in /etc/modules.
Then reboot.

Hope this helps.

Hello,
Anyone know if there is a driver for an Asus P4R800-VM
Motherboard to allow the use of the inbuilt ATI Radeon Chipset? Or will
the chipset simply work with the correct driver for the ATI Card? The
Chipset is 9100 IGP ATI IXP200.
Many Thanks

nvidia is already listed in the /etc/modules file.

The bug is a Debian bug. Remove the Option UseFBDev line from
your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file. The framebuffer device that they
configure X to use does not support that card, but XFree86 will be
able to work just fine without a kernel framebuffer device.
