I've seen with modern distributions is 320x200x1.
It's not pleasant.

I would try calling the Manufacturer. Their pre-sales

I am for the first time mailing on to this
id. I am having some problem with my Xwindow.When ever
i make some manual change to my user group or related
recently; essentially, the init.d/xfs
script was being run, but no xfs got started and there was no clue
in the logs about what was failing. Then I realized that my root
filesystem was full. After I cleaned up some space and rebooted,
everything worked fine. Silly, but true...

previously changed that id:5:initdefault to id:3:initdefault,
you need to change that 3 back to a 5. Save and quit, then you need to just
reboot, by typing reboot.
Hope it works for you, keep in mind that linux IS case sensitive. I made
sure I typed the correct caseing for you.

the desktop, it reports a window size of 800x600. So, did something change
about the higher level stuff that now requires something else to be done to

is a Prolink GeForce FX5200. It is not on their list of drivers, but it
should work with a generic one. When I try to access the XFree86.0.log, it
tells me permission denied, even under root. I have the 4.3.0 version of
XFree86.

I bought a Magic-Pro ATI Radeon 7500LE graphics card. Does the
XFree86 4.2 support it?
Which version of kernel or what kernel module is required
Sorry, I haven't heard anything either. I'm also using a Tecra 8200 running
RedHat 7.2 with X 4.2.0 with the same pixel shift issue.
