This week, I'd like to introduce and welcome our newest SearchDomino.com expert -- Brad Balassaitis. Brad is a senior Notes/Domino consultant who has been developing and optimizing applications since 1997. He's a Principal CLP application developer in R4, R5 and R6 and a Sun Certified Java Programmer. He has written numerous articles on application development for Lotus Advisor as well as three
practice tests for Lotus Certification exams for Boson.com.
Brad tells us that, from his perspective, there are certain key issues that repeatedly challenge developers working with Domino Designer. First, there is always the issue of efficiently troubleshooting to find out why certain code won't run, especially if it runs locally but not on a server. Agent security or access rights problems are often associated with these programming problems. In addition, misunderstanding which functions work in which design elements can be an obstacle to success.
Finally, understanding how the client-side browser interprets the Domino design elements that it serves is not always straightforward. If you do not understand this, it can lead to a lot of frustration when trying to develop for the Web.
Brad can help you with all of these problems and much more. In our Domino Designer Ask the Experts category Brad will provide advice, tips, tools, and techniques for Domino developers who are having these and any other issues with the Domino Designer application development software environment.
He has already tackled such topics as conflicts with replicating servers, copying external e-mail addresses on mailsend with doclinks and how to hide design
elements.

Have a great week everyone!
