Hi,

Thanks for keeping us updated. You may send me the firmware, and I'll obfuscate
it as previously agreed on and include it in Sigrok. Please state explicitly
that it is released under the same license as the previous firmware.

If I understand you correctly, both SIGMA and SIGMA2 can use the new firmware
and it does not contain any changes in the communication protocol. As such, 
SIGMA2
should work with Sigrok without any changes. Great. :)

With regard to the serial numbers, I'll add a test.
