In my personal experience, it's not an issue of vegetarianism or non. It's
more about eating the foods that are appropriate to your constitution. If the
person eats balancing foods, he/she will not develop arthritis and a return to
a balanced diet will often reduce or eliminate the arthritis.

So sorry to hear your arthritis is so bad. It could have another cause.
I know thousands of vegetarians who do not have arthritis so I don't
think that is the cause. I have been a vegetarian for almost 39 years
now. My father had terrible arthritis in his back for years and he was
NOT a vegetarian. My aunt has had horrible arthritis for 40 years and
she is NOT a vegetarian. Please check out Dr. McDougalls website before
you jump to these conclusions.

Well, a vegetarian/vegan diet is what I blame for most of my arthritis.

It takes protein for joint repair and maintenance, and I didn't get
enough for most of the past 20 years. Eliminating dairy can be good or

not, depending on what you have left to eat after they are out of the
diet.
Celery can give me a horrendous whole body flare up, with every single

joint in my body, including my back and spine just screaming.
I dislike the idea of "one size fits all" recommendations such as
"eliminate dairy" because every body is different. No offense. My
experience because I developed so many problems from the
vegetarian/vegan diet. Which is NOT suitable or helpful for everyone,
and can be detrimental, if it doesn't suit you.
