Title: RE: [Sisuite-users] Compiling kernel 2.6 for version 3.4.1 of system Imager

What OS are you using?  e2fsprogs-devel is available on Red Hat-like systems (eg. Fedora and RHEL/clones).

We have been using 3.5.3 for quite some time now and it has been running pretty good.  We do not test features like update_client or prepare_client so I cannot tell you whether those work or not - but simple imaging works perfectly.

Cheers,

Bernard

Well, It is a production environment..

Still, I have problems to get a good kernel and initrd working with
3.5.3. I downloaded the source and Im a bit lost on how to just get
the kernel and initrd..

Tried to do a make install_initrd and other options and the configure
tools tells me Im missing e2fsprogs-dev package which I found
nowhere..

:(
