In order to restore correctly (well, in order for the network to be active after the restore) I had to add an exclude of /etc/iftab to the image grabbing command. Otherwise it detected the network card on the newly imaged machine as a NEW interface and assigned it to eth1.
http://indianalinux.blogspot.com/2007/04/howto-use-systemimager-once-you-have-it.html I also tweaked some update excludes so stuff saved on the Student account's Desktop wasn't blown away during an update, and so I wouldn't have to set up teacher keys for iTALC every single time the clients were updated (which I wanted to make a weekly thing to keep everything updated). http://indianalinux.blogspot.com/2007/04/systemimager-client-update-excludes.html All this on Edgy.
