Hello,

On behalf of the whole SOCI team I am pleased too anounce that the
long-awaited 3.1.0 version of the SOCI library has been just released.

The latest package can be downloaded from here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/soci/

The complete documentation is part of the package and is also available
on-line:

http://soci.sourceforge.net/doc/index.html

Of course, the project web page reflects the latest changes as well:

http://soci.sourceforge.net/

This new release brings all the developments that took place during the
last two years and that were up to now somewhat inconveniently available
only from our Git repository. At the same time it also defines the
snapshot and a basis for subsequent library evolution.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mateusz Łoskot, who took a
very challenging position of the Package Manager and whose very
significant contribution for this SOCI release was the complete CMake
build system.
The build and installation procedure is very well documented, but don't
hesitate to ask questions in case of any issues.

I hope that this new release will become the milestone of the project
and will allow us to define the directions for future work.

Best regards,
