Hi!
SOCI-3.1.0 has been successfully packaged for Fedora (14, 15 and upcoming
16) and RedHat (EPEL 5 and 6): https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/soci,
for three back-end databases (MySQL, PostGreSQL and SQLite3). The package
should reach the mirrors of the stable repositories next week.
Thanks to the great work made by Mateusz and a few others on the CMake
framework, I no longer had to patch anything: the package now builds like a
charm!
Also, if some packagers from other distributions (e.g., Julian
Taylor?<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=520746#37>)
want to package that new version of SOCI (for instance, on
Debian<http://packages.debian.org/sid/libsoci-core-gcc>,
as it has been orphaned two years
ago<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=520746>),
I would be happy to support them. As a reference, the RPM specification
file for Fedora/RedHat is available on the Fedora Git
repository<http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=soci.git;a=blob_plain;f=soci.spec;hb=efd925473cdd6db681d7281bd54a908875c4b569>
.
Cheers
Denis
