There's a lot of discussion going on in the #python2.8 IRC channel at
the moment.  Once of the points made, is that it is probably more
feasible for political reasons to extend 3.x to have something like a
"from __past__import stuff", rather than make a 2.8 that accrues
backported features and makes a transition to 3.x easier.

It's a pity we're not at the point where we can state what stackless 2.8 is.

What is it, btw?  My understanding of it, and the directions it will
head are comprised of a series of points from a variety of different
emails.
