It can be installed as is.
The SRSS component in 5.1 and 5.1.x is delivered as a component base (SRSS 4.2 Revenue Release) plus a couple of incremental patches that get applied on top of the base. This style of delivery means that going from 5.1 to 5.1.1 to 5.1.2 is quick and relatively painless, because the base remains in place and only the relatively small incremental patch is applied by the SRS installer. However, it also means that if your platform can't accept those patches then your platform can't get 5.1 or 5.1.x. Solaris 11 Express does not have the traditional Solaris patch tools. I can't comment on when or how (or even whether) SRS will be made available for Solaris 11 Express. OttoM. __ Disclaimer: I am employed by Oracle.
