Yes, but were you able to associate an AP manually? I am having
problems with the 8688 Bx board I have. It doesn't even scan at the
moment.
As to 8686, I understood the driver was broken there as well. That's
why I hadn't reported the nm applet issue.
One thing to check on the applet; does it work in a different system
with a different (established) wireless adapter? Make a LiveUSB drive
set to boot with the vesa X driver and the appropriate wireless driver,
and try it on your laptop (I have). If it works there, chances are it's
not the applet (if the applet is designed right).
