I live in Britain and hear ki-LOM-iter, KILL-o-meeter and KILL-a-meeter. I
can't help you with frequency of use of each version.

Weather people in Britain always say 'Celsius' as far as I know. My
impression is that Brits are more likely to use the correct name than
Americans but 'Centigrade' is still commplace in the UK.

My father is a scientist but still says Centigrade by habit. When I correct
him, he acknowledges that it is wrong and trys to use the right term while
he remembers.
