The 'Detroit Sound' comes from the soul, not the machines.

Peace,

Subject: [313] greetings from Adelaide :)

Greetings all!

I just joined the 313 list and I am surprised to see the talk
about Australia! It really seems we are on the map when it
comes to techno... and as I live in Adelaide, there have been
some great DJ's here... and quite an interesting scene. There's
also a lot of bad things about the scene too, but I won't get into
that right now...

I am 22, and have been producing for sometime, although due
to lack of motivation I haven't played live or released anything
as yet. The best part of 5 years has been spent scrimping and
saving for equipment for my studio, which I share with 2 others.
I would be very much interested in hearing about other's producing
their own techno, what they use etc, to get that "detroit sound".
Of course everyone is different and has their own styles...but
anyway, I'd love to here some feedback on this :)

cheers :)
~bud
