benjamin: australia has always been on the techno map, though our down under
geographical position has made it hard for our best dj's and producers to
perform on the world stages - yes, there has been exceptions, but the jewels
have yet to be polished. don't know about the current state, but adelaide in
early nineties was on the absolute forefront of things - just ask 2120.
sydney has some slammingly sublime things happenin', but they are supported
by a very small minority. most promoters in sydney, unfortunately, promote
themselves instead of looking at the big picture of developing a broad-based
techno community. it's a crying shame as there is so much talent here.
