I'm just looking at these Allen & Heath mixers now - I'm not sure why
they don't just go the whole hog and stick a Juno 106 onto them! And
it's cheaper than the Pioneer DJM-600 as well (which is my favourite out
of all the mixers I've used).

While it's tempting to splash out on a serious kick-arse mixer like
that, it would only really make sense to me if I had a huge basement in
which I threw regular all-night parties - as it is, it would seem a bit
of a waste to have a rude mixer sitting there in my bedroom! I could
wait until January (when my next paycheque, which will be pretty big, is
due) and get a kick-arse mixer then, or just get a mid-level PCV175
now... oh sod it, I'll spend this month's wages on records and then I'll
get an A&H in January!

Brendan

(sorry for thinking out on the list!)

| Two Scots shelling out for an Allen & Heath mixer (I've got
| the same as
| Toby's)! Take that Brendan! It must be good :) It's maybe not
| the price
| range currently being talked about?
|
| There's no LFO on mine, is that a feature of more recent models?

| Agreed, I got a xone:32 for around 400 and it seems really nice and
| solid too - having a filter on the mixer is quite a cool and worthwile
| addition (specially when it has an LFO to modulate it :)
