well, i used to be quite active dj - the records that were "hit" and 
"massive" got quite a lot of deck time. for example black science 
orchestra's "altered states ep" and those robin s ones.. and and.. 
speedy j's pullover and kym sims - too blind to see it.. and so on :)

but in general, records wear out surprisingly fast as most of the time 
you don't get to play with decks that are properly set. most of the time 
you'll see worn out needles, too much weight (for example because the 
table they are on sucks and the floor sucks -> dancers bouncing too 
heavily -> needles jump)
