Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tonearm should only 'wiggle' depending on
the 'centricity' of the plug - i.e., if the plug is off-center, the tonearm
will waver accordingly. Otherwise, the tonearm should always relate equally
to the center of the record, right? There should really be no variance other
than per-record, not per turntable. Or I could be totally wrong about this,
but that's how I've always dealt with it.

As I understand it, the anti-skating dial is in place in order to compensate
for  any overt pull towards the inside or outside, but I've never really
figured that out, except as a reaction to a problem, and to be honest I
don't really understand how a dial works in that context, since a varying
elipse always goes both inside and out by the same degree - or it should
anyway.
