YES. that is the essence of it. there was a rather big divide 
amongst uk garage people a while back where most people either 
went MC led harder type tunes or went back to older 4 on the floor 
type housey stuff. for all intents and purposes "2-step" doesnt 
exist much anymore. people are eager to leave all the nonsense 
that came along with it behind so theyve changed things radically.

the "debate" is really just a bunch of different people who make 
the music coming up with some other irritating name for it.

to get trend hoppers into it. im dead serious. and i have serious 
issues with the guy who calls himself "plasticman" as well, mainly 
for being ignorant of other music that really isnt so hard to know 
about no matter how "insulated" their scene is (ive heard this 
argument before about this guy). anyway, the music sucks but the 
press and hipsters are behind it, we should be hearing lots more 
about it in the future.
