I'm just reading yesterdays thread and (looking back at Alex's original review) wondering why it is that the same comments haven't been levelled at Scion? It sounds like they used pretty much the same set up? When I saw Scion in London I didn't hear the old 'he's reading his email/playing minesweeper' comments once. I think it's got something to do with how animated the artist is behind the laptop. Scion were standing and one of them actually moved quite a bit.
Scion were only slightly more animated than CI but did use hardware controllers to control parameters in Live. Their starting material (BC) may have been more suited to the task at hand tho. They've clearly been doing the live performance thing with laptops longer than Claro Intelecto have i think.
