as a laptop rocker (woomper) I'd like to know what you (potential audience) considers the breaking point for the laptop sound source:physical performance ratio
does using a midi controller (ie someone is using knobs and sliders and whatnot) or do they have to have extra, non-laptop gear? if I bring my 707, just play mp3s from the laptop and look like I'm going nuts on the 707, will that placate the people that have forgotten that going out to hear music is about hearing music and not staring at someone trying to provide the backdrop to the real party? not trying to be combative, but hard questions sometimes lead to the best answers :) (no, I wont just play mp3s and milli vanilli with the 707 if you say "yes") -Joe (I know you all lust over tracks that are pure tr-707 :p ----- Original Message ----- From: "robin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Emile Facey (Plant43)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "Odeluga, Ken" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "[EMAIL PROTECTED] Org" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2004 10:05 AM Subject: Re: (313) digital producers > > > Emile Facey (Plant43) wrote: > > I'm just reading yesterdays thread and (looking back at Alex's original > > review) wondering why it is that the same comments haven't been levelled at > > Scion?
