One of my favorite quotes attributed to Einstein is "I never bother to
memorize something I can look up."

There are days I feel like I spend a third of my development time simply
wading through the docs to clarify something like the example David began
with or look up some arcane parameter setting.

I agree it's nice to know it's not just me.
