And it appears 4D also agrees that it is a bug since you say "4D's accepted it as a bug as of some months back.” Thanks for finding this problem. So you are irritated that they have chosen to not prioritizing the fixing of this bug? You want to use workers for writing to log files on disk and you can’t. Is that what this is all about? Question: If you don’t “KILL WORKER” and continue to reuse the same worker over and over again to keep writing to files does it work and there is no file lock issues?
