There is nothing in the path names that require encoding ie.. WA OPEN 
URL(waDocument;"file://"+$posixPath) and WA OPEN 
URL(waDocument;"file://"+$posixPath;*) return the same thing. For example with 
the *…

        $opsixPath = 
"/Users/johnbdh2/Desktop/004_4_C_1987PB2-PG2MedOffcBldg-Prkg_Civil_CD.pdf"

Is there something I am missing in your response as to why the pdfs do not 
display on the Mac?
