Hope this is not a dumb question…

I am just dabbling with 64-bit 4D without any understanding about what needs to
be done to deploy a database with 64-bit 4d. I do most of my development on a
mac and deploy as required to mac and windows.

I have a rather simple database born 32-bit on a mac and successfully deployed
on windows running 64-bit server, the only option, and 32-bit client.

I opened it with 64-bit 4D standalone on windows and except for an ugly dialog
with a big X through that referred to pict formatted images, it opened and
works just fine.

I then opened it with 4D Server, and tried to log on with a 64-bit client, but
the sever is not reachable. Leaving the 84-bit server running, I can see the
server and log in without any ugly dialogs using 32-bit 4D as the client.

So what do I need to do to the app to enable deploying with 64-bit client.
Does it need to be a complied 64-bit app to work in in client server with a
64-bit client?

Thanks,

John
