Hi Dave :)

no I'm not using JAD any more. It's a standard openSUSE 11.0. I just
installed a kernel-rt, made the user member of the group audio and
edited /etc/security/limits.conf

#-domain->  <type>  <----item---->  <--value-->
@audio       -       rtprio                 99
@audio       -       memlock         unlimited
@audio       -       nice                  -19

After installing some LADSPA there is the need to copy the libs from
/usr/local/lib/ladspa to /usr/lib64/ladspa.

In most cases I'm using the following repositories, I guess there aren't
any repositories else needed to get an audio- and video-workstation.

OSS
Non-OSS
Update
Packman
Videolan

Don't use Jengelh's kernel-rt, it seems to cause dependency conflicts.
