Suse 11.0 is as stable as 64 Studio 2.1, but running the latest versions of applications, that even won't be available for Lenny. You only need to add the Packman and Videolan repositories. I can recommend Suse 11.0, but I still will use 64 Studio too, because of the community. I'm interested in Ardour3 too, but didn't try to compile it for any actual Linux. I'm running 64 Studio 2.1 default, 64 Studio 2.1 upgraded to Lenny and Suse 11.0 and I have best results running multimedia apps with Suse.
