Hi Dave,

Alas, my version (2.1) is falling behind in many ways.

Indeed, being Etch based, it is getting old library-wise. That makes it harder to backport newer applications in a sensible fashion. The Gimp is a particular problem, because new releases always need very recent GTK+.

I read references to a pre-3.0 64 Studio.

Yes, that is our first attempt at upgrading to Debian Lenny, which is not released yet of course.

These are the two sources I'm updating my test system against at the moment:

# Debian lenny
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free

# Backports repository, needed to get -dev packages
deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports/ lenny-backports main

This does lead to removing quite a few packages, so probably shouldn't be attempted on a production system for the time being.

can I build SVN Ardour 3 sources with it ?

I should think so, it's good for building Ardour 2.x releases, e.g. see Quentin's how-to at: http://www.64studio.com/ardour_2.5

Cheers!

Daniel
