Hi Mira :)

I had this problem a long time ago too. I guess I reported this, but I
don't have access to my saved emails at the moment. As far as I remember
I edited xorg.conf manually by using an editor. I can't remember that
there was any other way.

Cheers,
Ralf

PS and OT: I installed Suse 11.1 RC with KDE 4.1, KDE 4.1 is very
interesting and differs to KDE 4.0 a lot. To those that remarked they
missed some features for KDE, that are available for some small WMs, I
recommend to give KDE 4.1 running on KWin a chance. Sorry for that OT
comment and please don't reply to that in this thread.

Betreff: [64studio-users] New graphic card installation

Hello,

I've bought new graphic card today Nvidia GeForce 6200.
I've uninstall legacy proprietary driver and changed "nvidia" to "nv" in
xorg.conf
Than I wanted to change xorg.conf from scratch and I've run:

#dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

but this command allowed me change just keyboard settings.
My xorg now looks very simply ... see attachment pls.
And I can have only 800x600 resolution now.

How can I fix it?

Thanks for any help.

Mira
