I do agree with most of what Quentin says. Even though I really would
like to see a Lenny-based 64 Studio, that's probably not going to
happen, because it would require a lot of work, and 64 Studio (the
company) does not currently have resources for it. We have started
building against Ubuntu because our OEM customers required it, and
unless we get a project requiring a Lenny-based system, it is hard for
us support two branches (Lenny and Hardy).
Said this, I will be glad to use our automatic backport system to
offer up-to-date Debian packages for lenny, on best-effort basis:
http://64studio.com:9997/backport/lenny
the list is very short at the moment, but we can extend it. The APT
repository is available here:
deb http://apt.64studio.com/backports/ lenny-backports main
This will allow you to install a plain lenny and then dist-upgrade
against the backports repo to get the latest/fixed stuff.
To some extend it should also be possible to install the 64studio
debian package to get some of the auto-configuration code on Lenny,
but that's completely untested at the moment.
Ciao!
Free
PS: Quentin, we do have daily builds:
http://pdk.64studio.com/projects/64studio/hardy/images/
but they're broken at the moment (a bug in the installer)
