Loving the 64studio 3.0 alpha here. Your vision is a beauty,
64 studio stability & long term dependability.

I'm new to -rt kernel patch/building, but Free needs tests done
to decide on the best one for the 3.0 release.
Over the last week I've compiled as best as I could a few kernels,
After seeing the amount of time/work invested by the 64 studio
team to release 64 studio, it's the least I can do to help as much as I can.

1)
git-clone
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rostedt/linux-2.6-rt.git

= 2.6.28-rt

2)
RT patch,kernel 2.6.29-rc4

= 2.6.29-rc4-rt

I have both kernels installed on 3.0 alpha,
It's difficult to determine which I like the best, but it's early days yet,
and I'm no expert.

On the forum stevea suggested using coldduck-unmastered.wav as a benchmark.

http://jamin.sourceforge.net/en/tutorial.html

Download: jam-ard-tutorial.tar.gz from the page.

Play/Looped: Imported coldduck-unmastered.wav into Ardour Project

qjackctl & ardour coldduck-unmastered test project = max = ?.?%

It's working fine, and provides a universal benchmark to keep some sort
of unity.

What's needed is some real experts who can provide 64 studio with
valuable input.
I'm sure there's a lot of experienced kernel builders who have a lot to
contribute.

The 64studio forum wouldn't be the same without your never ending help
Quentin
and I'm sure the rest of the community wouldn't mind if I said thanks on
their behalf.
