Okay, what I tried to say was, that it might be better if 64 Studio will
enable the CPU speed control by default. There should be an icon on the
desktop (not only in the panel) by default, so that every new 64 Studio
user gets aware that the CPU is controlled.

I used hdparm by the shell and it didn't work, independently if I run a
Linux from my IDE and tried to turn off the SATA or if I run a Linux
from my SATA and try to turn of the IDE. After 2 minutes they will start
again. For Windows all hard disks are turned of after a while, it works,
okay, maybe it's not good for the hard disks lifetime if the drive with
the running OS is turned off and on and off and on ... ;).
