And this is where it gets real interesting. Ubuntu is only a manipulated version of Debian. The thing is that the added value the Ubuntu team puts into the distro makes it attractive for people to use, and it does work well. 64 Studio can now gain from the added value and add value of its own. We have enriched the Debian multimedia world in countless ways already - and will again when the 3.0 final release arrives. The time it saves you to do all the customisations yourself, and the hidden knowledge to do so is worth it.
