Interesting. You do use the on-board graphics, don't you? I have a postulate about the decreased performance of on-board grapics when running Real-Time applications. Real time gets preference, but the hardware of the graphics chip demand some bandwidth on the data bus to access the shared RAM. Performance suffers when both wants the bus at the same time...
