Hi,
Great discussion, I agree that embedded web-services and HTTP in general
are important to develop for 6LoWPAN. Plus service discovery,
management etc.
I have actually been thinking that we need to continue on two fronts as
well, and agree with Carsten completely:
1. Recharter 6lowpan to take care of security and other INT area
improvements that have been identified.
2. Create a 6lowapp WG in the APP area which would work on application
protocol improvements for use over 6LoWPAN and other similar limited
frame/bandwidth networks.
Anyways, #2 is something I am really interested to work on.

Hi Carsten:
All this makes a lot of sense to me. At some point though, it appears
that the work belongs to another area.
Would there be a way for 6LoWPAN to trigger/sponsor work in
http://www.apps.ietf.org/ about compressed web services for use in
LoWPANs?
Not all work we spawn will be in INT area.
Say, a key management protocol might spawn a small WG in SEC.
ROLL already is in RTG.
So why not spawn a WG in APP?
But let's first demonstrate the need, the interest and the feasibility.
The ADs will then sort out where the work should go.
The hard part is just to make sure we are not getting our requirements
diluted in that other venue -- for example, I would seriously object if
any 6LoWPAN-related HTTP work would be bundled up with a general "binary
HTTP" effort.
