that is exactly what individually submitted Internet-drafts are meant
for.
You don't have to write a 60-page tome, just try to put together
enough for a cogent argument.

familiar with):

In the end, we actually used only certain elements of the concepts
proposed, but I think it was useful for the discussion to write those
2.5 pages (net weight).
