Actually what your getting isn't a purchased solution. We are putting in place barracuda because I just couldn't get the time to really do the eval I wanted and barracuda passed the basic tests. I also put up mailcleaner here recently but not sure how effective it is. It is only filtering on @inet.lasierra.edu addresses so it doesn't apply to everyone.
Seems to actually be more effective than barracuda on some things but both aren't to good at image spam. So for that I'm looking at the not so fuzzy ocr plugin for exim

I see that LSU now subscribes to Mailcleaner. My roger...@lsu acct now sends me reports on spam that have been blocked. I'd be curious to know how they decided on Mailcleaner. There are tons of these MX filtering solutions out there now, and how do you tell them all apart? Just off the top of my head: MXlogic SpamSoap Mailcleaner Postini etc http://tinyurl.com/34lxok _______________________________________________ 909linux mailing list [email protected] http://909linux.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/909linux
