I'm not sure what you mean by that. Exim has always been fairly delivery independent. We recently switched from mbox to Maildir on our servers, and we're now offering it to our clients. We use Dovecot to deliver POP and IMAP from Maildir. Nothing but praise so far. I've been using exim since the tail end of the Exim3 days, and have written a fairly decent "SpamBlocker" exim.conf file for Exim4. It's fairly dependent on our control panel's ways (we use DirectAdmin: see http://www.directadmin.com/), but can be easily changed and is well documented. DirectAdmin distributes an earlier version of our exim.conf file and will probably distribute our most recent version when we deem it ready to release <smile>.
