Wow, this reply makes me wonder.....I am a computer user, more experienced then 
a beginner, but certainly not an expert.  I don't know any other way to install 
updates then blindly.  I know that I should have the best stuff, but don't 
always know what the update is for.  Frankly, I think that even if I took a 
year of school on computer know how, I still wouldn't know everything to always 
make an "informed" decision.  Yikes!!!!

  I think the first step is that it reads your computer to see what updates you 
need, so it might be a little dicey to try to apply updates more-or-less 
blindly...
