I know on startup I would get an error message saying that it
couldn't find system32.exe or some related file and couldn't execute
it.
The computer is cleaned of viruses. I had to delete a lot of files
including system file that were infected with "Hidrag" because the
virus cannot be removed. I didn't find any virus programs that
could remove or disinfect the files.
There is no internet access via the Ethernet ports (broadband) and
that is the first thing that died on the computer when it was
infected with viruses and spyware. The count came up to over 400
viruses and quite as many spyware.
I did try installing a USB ethernet adapter but that didn't work
either.
Restoring the system files is one problem, but how do I reset the
network configuration so that I will have internet access.
I haven't tried using a standard modem yet thou.
thanks
