Hi,
On Sunday, I downloaded and installed the NASA program, World Wind.
Additionally, I had to install the .NET and Direct X programs. Immediately
after installing .NET I haven't been able to start up my computer without a
blue login screen, where I have to click on my name. Before that, the
computer would just do a start up and go directly to my desktop.
I'm going to uninstall World Wind for other reasons, but I'm wondering when
I do uninstall it if it will also uninstall .Net and Direct X? If not, is
there a way to get rid of both of them safely and without doing any harm to
my computer?
Secondly, if there's not a way to uninstall both of these (.Net and Direct
X), can I safely go into User Accounts and delete the ASP.Net Machine A
account? I'm *assuming* that this is what is causing me to have to log in
each time I start my computer. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before
Sunday, and there are no other User Accounts besides mine listed there.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
Christine
