DirectX can't be uninstalled or downgraded because it upgrades some of
the kernel mode drivers in the system.
.NET Framework can be uninstalled, or you may disable the ASP.NET
account from Start > Run > "control userpasswords2" > [Advanced] >
{Advanced}. (Windows XP Pro only)
I'm not sure how safe it is to delete the ASP.NET account.
