Have you heard something to that effect? If it's true I don't think they
would do anything but check to see if you are activated. I have two
computers running preinstalled and pre-activated XP so I haven't had to do
that for a long time. IN fact I have three XP CD-Roms that I have not used
for awhile since the two Sony's have it built in.
