I'll try to explain this with as few words as possible! When I got my new computer last spring, I set it up where I had had my old one for 4 years. Because the phone jack is on the other side of the room, I used a 12 foot phone "extension" cord, or whatever you call them. When I set up my new computer, I can't remember what was happening, but I kept having trouble getting bumped off the air so to speak! I called Bellsouth and the lady I talked to said that it was more than likely the phone extender, that I should never use one more than about 10 feet long.
Do I moved my computer and I have hated where it is since. I have to be able to look out the window, I just have to which would mean using this cord again. Do you think this could have been the actual culprit?? I honestly can't pinpoint if the problem stopped instantly, because the very day I moved everything, I had to go out of town temporarily to care for someone and all was well by the time I got back, about 7 days. So, can you experts tell me if this is really a problem, or have any advice?? Thanks so much, you've always come through for me before! Pam in GA.
