I had this same problem with my C84. After again replacing the cartridges I contacted Epson. They told me to replace the cartridges a third time, which I told them was rediculous. The odds of buying 2 sets of all 4 cartridges defective months apart at different stores was beyond my grasp. So they suggested that I contact their sales department to discuss purchases a new printer. As if I would ever buy another Epson. I have 2 Cannons, 600bjc from 1994 and a 250bj that both still work fine. I went back to one of them.
