Hello,

I hope that someone here can help me.

About a week ago, when I was trying to sign on to aol, the computer said that
an error had occurred on aol and if this problem continued that I needed to
reinstall aol. This message came up as soon as I hit the aol button. It
didn't even try to dial. I tried several times.

I called aol and ordered a 9.0 version since the one I have on here is 7.0
because I thought if I had to reinstall it, I would rather have a newer version.

When I went to the add/remove program and clicked on remove aol, a screen
came up that said it was trying to find all versions of aol and it also said
that
no changes were being made to my computer at this time. This screen stayed
on for a time and then I clicked CONTROL-ALT-DELETE to see if the program was
responding and it said that it was NOT. I tried this several times and the
same thing happened. I decided to delete a different program and it worked.

I decided to get out the aol disc that came with the computer so that I could
reinstall it into the same folder as the other aol and thought it would write
over the old one and then maybe I could delete it to put the 9.0 in. Well,
it didn't write over it- now I have aol 7.0 and aol 7.0a. However, I CAN sign
on to 7.0a but it freezes up when I try to go to websites. Also, when I sign
off, aol downloads a bunch of stuff for a couple of minutes.

What I want to do it delete both versions of aol that are on my computer and
then put on 9.0.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you SOOOO much.

Dee
