When I plug the CAT5 cable into the NIC card, the 2 lights don't light up, but the icon in the lower right of the taskbar sees that there is a cable plugged in. When I unplug the cable, the icon knows that the cable is unplugged. When the cable is plugged in, and I double click on the icon, it tries to get an IP address, but fails after a while. I have tested 2 other computers on the same CAT5 cable, and they both grabbed an IP address right away.
